Police Benevolent Foundation and Hooters host car wash for fallen officers

The Police Benevolent Foundation will hold a benefit car wash for the families of Sergeant Brandon Paudert and Officer Bill Evans, who were killed in the line of duty in West Memphis, Arkansas on May 20.

Hooters at 982 West Goodman Road in Horn Lake is hosting the car wash Saturday, June 27 from noon until 4 p.m.  All proceeds will go the two fallen officers' families.

The Police Benevolent Foundation has also set up a memorial fund at SunTrust and Wachovia Banks so the public can assist the families.

Fallen Officers Car Wash

HOOTERS is hosting the car wash and 100 percent of all proceeds will go to the two fallen officer's families.

Free Music in the Grove

So much great music is right here in the mid-south, and now there is a free concert series on the lawn of Snowden Grove House in Snowden Grove. The series will run every other Tuesday until September 21st, and guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets and coolers.

Southaven Officer Graduates From FBI Academy

On Friday, June 18, 2010, Lt. Matt Anderson of the Southaven Police Department graduated from the 241st Session of the F.B.I. National Academy Program at Quantico, Virginia along with two hundred fifty nine other law enforcement officers.

Promoter excited to bring boxing event to Southaven

SOUTHAVEN, MS (WMC-TV) - An unprecedented night of boxing is coming to Southaven next month in an event that will be nationally televised on the Showtime cable network.

"The Best Of The Best" is headlined by a bout between Middleweight Champion Fernando Guerrero and Ishe "Sugar Shay" Smith, in a twelve round main event.

Four undefeated boxers will participate in matches at the event.
