Wreaths placed on sites of fallen officers in DeSoto County |

DeSoto County has marked the places where eight law enforcement officers have fallen in the line of duty.

The eight slain lawmen are recognized each May during a memorial on the DeSoto County Courthouse lawn.

Now wreaths have been placed at the Fallen Public Safety Officers Memorial and at the sites across DeSoto County where slain officers lost their lives.

Judge Celeste Wilson told the DeSoto Times that the wreath places at Christmas time is one thing they can do at the holidays to recognize those officers’ sacrifice.
