County tourism group celebrates 10 years
(WMC-TV) - DeSoto County tourism officials have a lot of celebrating to do and it's not just because the group is enjoying its tenth anniversary, according to the DeSoto Times Tribune.
DeSoto County is the seventh largest employer of direct travel and tourism in Mississippi and the sixth highest contributor of state and local tax revenue in tourism among the state's 82 counties.
DeSoto County is also in the top four of Mississippi's travel and tourism expenditures, according to state tourism officials.
