Horn Lake woman celebrates 104th birthday | People

She still works, loves to ride motorcycles, eats spicy food whenever she has the chance and just celebrated her 104th birthday.

Odessa Summers recently traveled to Athens, GA, to visit family and friends and thanks to a Georgia newspaper, we get to enjoy every bit of the fun.

“Up until last year she would still cut grass,” her brother Peck said. “And cut wood,” Irma said. “And she still hangs clothes out on the line. She doesn’t believe in using the dryer.”

Odessa said she still likes to work. She wraps airplane parts for her grandson, a job she’s been doing for more than 30 years. “I can’t just sit there,” she said.

In fact, when she was age 98 and 99 she rode her motorcycle to Corinth before meeting her family and heading to Athens, according to her sister-in-law Annette.
