(WMC-TV) - The month of October has been renamed "Wishtober" at Chick-fil-A Southaven.

Make-A-Wish Mid-South is partnering with the restaurant to grant the wishes of some very dseserving children with life-threatening medical conditions.

The campaign kicks off October 8 at the Chick-fil-A on 235 Goodman Road West.

Participants who come to the restaurant will have the chance to stock the shelves of the Wish Closet.

Make-A-Wish organizers are looking for items like DVDs, iTunes cards or sporting goods.

Right now, there is a need for items specifically for boys and girls age 13 to 18.

Owner operator Stuart Davidson hopes to make the "Wishtober" campaign a great success.

"We want to be a part of providing those special moments and powerful experiences for children diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition," he said.

iPads replace restaurant's wine list

iPads replace restaurant's wine list

(WMC-TV) - Choosing a wine has gone high-tech at Mesquite Chop House.

For many diners, the wine-picking experience at a restaurant consists of two steps. First, trying to remember that wine they had one time at a friend's house that was really good. Second, realizing that they have no idea what that wine was called and just picking one off the menu that isn't impossible to pronounce.
