Drugs, threats get police called to school

DeSoto Central High School leaders called police after students overhead at least one of their classmates making threatening remarks Thursday morning. Officers scoured the campus for weapons, but ended up finding drug paraphernalia instead.

“I am proud of the fact our students feel comfortable talking to school authorities,” said Cory Uselton, the school’s principal. “The eyes and ears of our students are the best security system we have.”
