TDOT worker is out hospital after hit by driver | Transportation

A Tennessee Department of Transportation worker is out of the hospital Sunday after being struck while trying to help a driver.  

The accident happened Saturday on Interstate 240 near Airways Boulevard

The TDOT driver, whose name has not been released, was helping a disabled Toyota Camry when a Honda Accord struck the back of the TDOT truck and the driver's side of the Camry before striking the worker and running into the guard rail.

The driver of the Honda, told officers she was texting while driving.
