The massive storm

that moved through the Mid-South Wednesday morning spawned tornadoes and dumped a lot of rain in several southern states.

In Pearl

located in Central Mississippi, heavy rains forced residents out of their homes.

Rainfall

dumped enough water to submerge streets all the way up to people's driveways.

There were similar scenes

in several parts around Jackson, Mississippi.

The storm started

on the Mississippi coast in Stone County where officials said at least two trailer homes were damaged.

At least two people were killed

and there are reports of widespread power outages. First responders are assessing the damages.
